Dominant
What it is
A Dominant enjoys being in charge. They lead the scene, make the calls and set the pace, inside limits both people agreed.
What it can look like
Deciding what happens and when. Giving instructions. Setting rules for a scene. Telling a partner where to sit, what to wear or when they're allowed to move.
Often pairs with
Submissive, Slave, Pet, Brat, Little.
Not the same as
Top. A Top does things to a partner, a Dominant is in control. Lots of people are both, but you can be in charge while your partner does all the physical work.
Doing it safely
Being in charge means being responsible. Know your partner's limits before you start, check in during, and stop instantly at a safeword. A good Dominant cares more about the person than the scene.
